Free resume check
The check at /check compares your resume with one job post. You don't need an account, and your file is read to make the report and isn't saved.
What the report shows#
| Part | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Requirements shown | How many of the job's requirements your resume shows now. This is the match score. |
| More with tailoring | How many more your resume could show if it were rewritten for this job, using only what it already says. |
| File reading | Whether a parser gets the text out of your file in the right order. |
Sample
A resume shows 6 of the 9 requirements in a post. Tailoring could bring out 2 more, because the resume mentions the work in other words. The last one is a gap.
How the requirements are counted#
The match score counts requirements, not keywords. A requirement counts as shown when your resume describes that work, even in different words. Listing a term with nothing behind it doesn't count.
Limits#
| Limit | Amount |
|---|---|
| Checks from one visitor | 3 a day |
| Resume file | Up to 10 MB |
| Photos of a job post | Up to 10, read together as one post |
From the check to a tailored resume#
- Under the report, choose "Tailor my resume for this job".
- Sign in or create an account.
- Tailoring starts with the same resume and job post, so you don't upload them again.
The report is read from one job post by software and can miss a requirement or count one twice. Use it as a starting point.
