A Rezi alternative with no subscription

Rezi and cvagent.ai both help you fit a resume to a job, in different ways and at very different prices. This page says plainly what each does, what each costs, and when Rezi is the better choice.

What Rezi does

Rezi is an AI resume builder with templates, an AI writer and editor, a resume score and keyword targeting. The free plan includes one resume and 3 PDF downloads. Pro is a monthly subscription, and there's a one-time lifetime option.

What cvagent.ai does

You upload your resume once and paste a job post. cvagent.ai lists what the post asks for, marks which of those your resume shows, and rewrites your resume for that job using only what's in it. Every change is shown next to your original, anything it can't trace back to your resume is flagged, and the requirements you don't show are listed as gaps instead of being added. You download a PDF or a Word file, and it reads the PDF back the way a parser does to tell you whether every line came through.

How cvagent.ai is different

Tailoring for one job, not building

Rezi helps you write a resume. We start from the resume you have and rewrite it for one job post, with every change shown next to your original.

No score

Rezi gives you a resume score. We don't, because there's no standard score employers use. We tell you which of the job's requirements your resume shows and which it doesn't.

You pay per resume, once

Your first tailored resume is free, including the download. Then $2.99 for one, $9.99 for five or $19.99 for twenty. It's also one-time, like Rezi's lifetime plan, but you only pay for the resumes you need.

When Rezi is the better choice

  • You're starting without a resume and want a builder with templates and an AI writer.
  • You expect to rewrite resumes regularly for years, where a one-time lifetime price can work out cheaper.
  • You want cover letters and interview practice in the same tool.

cvagent.ai doesn't build a resume from scratch, write cover letters or track applications. It needs a resume to start from, and it does one job with it.

Try it on one job

The quickest way to compare is to try both on the same job post. The free resume check needs no account and saves nothing, and your first tailored resume is free. For more on the method, see how to tailor your resume to a job description.
